About
Real guides, real prices, and one goal: helping you travel France better.
The Short Version
France is the most visited country on earth, and most of what gets written about it still fits on a postcard: the Eiffel Tower, a beret, a baguette.
I started this site because I kept hitting the same wall planning my own trips. Recycled top-10 lists and guides that went stale two years ago are easy to find. Current, specific, region-by-region detail is not. Every guide here is written to close that gap, one region at a time.
Why France
From the boulevards of Paris to the lavender fields of Provence, the cliffs of the French Riviera, the vineyards of Bordeaux, and the peaks of the Alps, France is a country where every region feels like its own destination. It rewards travelers who slow down and look past the highlights everyone already knows.
What You’ll Find Here
The site is organised around the questions travelers actually ask before and during a trip:
- France Travel Guides: practical, current advice on entry rules, transport, budgeting, and timing.
- Destinations & Cities: in-depth guides to France’s cities, regions, and quieter corners.
- Activities & Experiences: what is actually worth planning a trip around.
- Accommodation: honest recommendations for every budget and travel style.
- Culture & History: the history, traditions, and everyday life behind the destinations.
The first two sections are live now. The last three are being written and go live through autumn 2026.
Who’s Behind This
I am Marco Delgado, a travel writer and digital nomad, and I research and write every guide on this site myself. My bias is accuracy over volume: real prices, real timings, and the advice I would give a friend. I revisit each guide as things change, because travel information that is out of date is barely better than none at all.
How This Site Makes Money
Some links here are affiliate links, and a few placements are advertising. If you book or buy through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which places make it into a guide, or what I say about them once they do.
